Fall, Aspens, “Quiet Autumn Pond

Fall with its splendid colors brings so many delightful and tender feelings.  Kendall loves to get references in the fall.  He especially is fond of aspen trees and is so sensitive to how they are so welcoming, personal, and friendly.  When a breeze rustles their leaves it as if they are happily applauding you being near them.  When their leaves fall is like a gentle yellow rain. Yolanda Davenport

Kendall spent about four years getting references and then painting this painting  “Quiet Autumn Pond”

“I love to stop at this quiet pond in autumn on my way up to higher ground. Some aspen leaves are under the water; others are still floating. The water skippers are making ripples, or just making a small dent in the water where they stand.”  Kendall

Powerful mountain painting inspired by a pond in southeast Idaho.
